After years of exclusive focus on academic writing, I’m returning to work on my memoir, “Ask for the Road.” I’m grateful to have been awarded a Writer’s Residency Fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. It is such a privilege to be granted dedicated time and serene space to immerse oneself in creative flow. To be welcomed into a community of fellow artists and writers offers incomparable inspiration, lifting energy and opening new avenues of exploration. I look forward to returning this Spring to the beauty and peace of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, and to the caring embrace of this sanctuary for creativity.
